CTA Training Specialists is a leading Registered Training Organisation and contracted provider delivering workplace assessments on behalf of Trades Recognition Australia (TRA).

We are seeking experienced Contract Skills Assessors to conduct Job Ready Workplace Assessments across the Sydney and Melbourne metropolitan and regional areas.

About the Role

As a Contract Skills Assessor, you will:

- Conduct Job Ready Workplace Assessments at employer workplaces.
- Assess candidates against Trades Recognition Australia requirements and Australian industry standards.
- Observe practical workplace skills and gather assessment evidence.
- Complete assessment reports and documentation within required timeframes.
- Liaise professionally with employers, candidates and the CTA Operations Team.
- Maintain the highest standards of integrity, consistency and confidentiality.
- Assessments are allocated based on your availability and location, providing flexibility around your existing commitments.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or an equivalent or higher Commercial Cookery/Hospitality qualification.




- Extensive recent industry experience within Commercial Cookery and/or Hospitality.
- Current TAE40122, TAE40116 or equivalent Trainer and Assessor qualification.
- Experience conducting workplace competency or skills assessments (highly desirable).
- Excellent written communication and report writing skills.
- A high level of computer literacy, including the ability to confidently use Microsoft Office applications, web-based assessment platforms and electronic reporting systems.
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and make objective assessment decisions.
- Current Australian driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
- An Australian Business Number (ABN) and appropriate insurances, or willingness to obtain them.
- Previous experience conducting Trades Recognition Australia Job Ready Workplace Assessments will be highly regarded; however, experienced trainers, assessors, chefs and hospitality professionals with relevant assessment experience are encouraged to apply.
