About the role

Reporting to the Plant Engineer at our site in Scoresby, as our permanent afternoon shift Maintenance Fitter, you’ll be the first responder for equipment issues on shift—troubleshoot, repair and maintain manufacturing and packaging equipment to minimise downtime and protect product quality and compliance. You’ll also conduct changeovers and help line staff return to safe operation quickly.

- Preventative and breakdown maintenance on manufacturing & packaging equipment
- Mechanical fault-finding and effective repairs to reduce downtime
- Maintain/repair process plant: pumps, valves, pipework,



conveyors and mechanical systems
- Maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Support installs, commissioning, modifications and upgrades
- Keep accurate maintenance records and follow SOP/cGMP and safety isolation practices

What you’ll bring:

- Mechanical trade qualification (Fitter / Fitter & Turner or equivalent)
- Current Restricted Electrical Worker’s Licence
- 5+ years’ maintenance experience in a GMP environment with automated packaging (food/pharmaceutical manufacturing highly regarded)
- Solid fault-finding/troubleshooting and preventative maintenance capability
- Ability to read drawings/manuals and follow SOPs; comfortable with maintenance documentation/CMMS
- Safety-first approach (LOTO) and clear communication with production teams
- Nice to have: TIG welding/polishing, forklift/high-risk licences

You must have unrestricted working rights in Australia.

Please note you must be available for a hybrid shift (12pm-8.15pm) for the first 4 weeks for training.
