Team Leader - Care Workers

The opportunity You willprovide day-to-day leadership, supervision and support to CareWorkers delivering home services across Warrigal Home Services.Acting as a key partner to the Operations Manager – Home Services,you will play a critical role in supporting workforce performance,capability, and engagement to ensure services are delivered safely,efficiently, and in line with client care plans and organisationalstandards.
This role requires someone who is highly organised, proactive, andconfident in managing competing priorities within a community-basedservice environment. You will support the coordination andutilisation of the support workforce, working closely with CareServices Managers, Care Managers and Coordinators to ensureconsistent, person-centred service delivery.
You will play a key role in mentoring and coaching Care Workers,supporting performance development, and fostering a positive andengaged team culture. Your ability to build strong relationships,provide transparent guidance, and address challenges constructively willbe essential to maintaining high-quality care and workforcestability.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will contribute toworkforce planning, service improvements, and operationalinitiatives. Your professionalism, sound judgement, and commitmentto continuous improvement will support safe work practices, servicequality, and positive client outcomes.

What you’ll bring
Essential:

- Certificate IV in Leadership and Management, CommunityServices or equivalent
- Demonstrated mentoring and coaching capability, includingthe ability to motivate, develop and support staff to performeffectively
- Experience supervising or leading frontline care or supportstaff




- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with theability to coach and support staff performance
- Ability to identify and address workforce performanceissues in a constructive and supportive manner
- Demonstrated understanding of person-centred careprinciples
- Strong organisational skills and ability to managecompeting priorities
- Commitment to continuous improvement and high-qualityservice delivery
- Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety requirementsin community-based services
- Understanding of reporting requirements and ability toensure compliance with organisational and sector standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and theability to learn and adapt to new systems
- Current driver’s licence and access to a registeredvehicle
- Diploma of Leadership and Management or formalqualifications in health or related discipline
- Experience working in home care, community-based servicedelivery or field workforce environments
- Knowledge of the strengthened Aged Care Quality Standardsand Support at Home reforms
- Experience using workforce management or care managementsystems
