You'll work across risk management, incident management, governance and assurance activities, helping ensure the right controls are in place to protect our members and business.

As a Risk Specialist, Risk & Compliance, you'll play an important Line 1 risk role within the CRO Office, supporting the Risk & Compliance Leadership Team to embed consistent risk practices and strengthen the control environment.

You'll partner with stakeholders across the business to support risk and control management activities, maintain accurate risk profiles, contribute to incident and issue management, and assist with governance and assurance processes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, analysing information, solving problems and supporting leaders to make informed risk decisions in a highly regulated environment.

This role is a permanent chance and is based in Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne.

Responsibilities Day to day, you'll:

- Apply the Risk Management Framework to identify, assess and manage business risks and controls.
- Support risk owners to maintain accurate and current risk registers.
- Partner with control owners to document, review and enhance controls.
- Monitor remediation activities and help ensure actions are completed within agreed timeframes.
- Maintain accurate information within risk management systems and platforms.
- Support risk and control self-assessments and track improvement initiatives.




- Provide risk guidance on business initiatives and change activities.
- Assist with incident management processes, reporting and trend analysis.
- Support audit and assurance activities, including preparation and follow-up actions.
- Contribute to risk reporting, governance forums and working groups.
- Assist with business continuity planning activities, testing and business impact assessments.
- Work collaboratively with other Risk Specialists to promote consistent risk practices.

Qualifications It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

- You have experience applying risk management principles, frameworks and methodologies.
- Your understanding of risk identification, assessment, mitigation and control management is well developed.
- You'll have experience supporting or managing incident management activities.
- You're confident analysing risk information and providing insights that support decision-making.
- You demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Your stakeholder engagement skills help you build productive relationships across diverse teams.
- You'll communicate effectively and adapt your approach for different audiences.
- You're able to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to changing business needs.
- You exercise sound judgement and professionalism when handling sensitive information.




- Your tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline will be highly regarded.
- You'll bring experience working in financial services, superannuation or another highly regulated environment.
- You're familiar with risk management and compliance standards and frameworks.
