About MAKEIT
MAKEIT is a young, multi-trade company backed by a well-established team with over 30 years of collective industry experience. We deliver roofing, cladding, plumbing, and electrical services across commercial, residential, industrial, and rectification projects throughout Victoria and into NSW border towns. We're not your standard roofing crew. Our work includes coordinated multi-trade projects with genuine complexity — insulated panel systems, architectural cladding, heritage restoration, and performance-based solutions designed and supported by our in-house engineering team. We're also the official recommended installer for Stratco's Architectural Solutions Division across Victoria.
We invest in our own equipment — EWPs, commercial roof skates, and guardrail systems are all in-house, so our crews have what they need on every job without delays.
Our warehouse and office are at 50 Buchanan Road, Brooklyn. Melbourne is our central hub, with the majority of work within 50km of the CBD — though we service all of Victoria and parts of NSW when projects require it.
The Role
We're looking for driven, qualified roof plumbers who want to be part of something that's being built properly from the ground up. You'll work across a genuine mix of projects — commercial re-roofs one week, residential rectification the next, insulated panel installation on an aged care facility the week after. This isn't a high-volume production line.
Our projects need tradespeople who can think, problem-solve, and take pride in getting it right.
What You'll Do
- Roof replacement, new installations, and rectification works across all sectors
- Architectural cladding, curved sheeting, and custom flashing work
- Insulated panel systems (Stratco, Askin, Bondor, Kingspan)
- Heritage roofing and restoration — lead, copper, traditional materials
- Skylight and glazing installations
- Working with thermal imaging, drones, and project tracking technology
- Working safely with company-owned EWPs, guardrail systems, and commercial roof skates
What You Need
- Qualified Roof Plumber (registered or trade-qualified)
- Minimum 5+ years of roof plumbing experience required
- White Card (Construction Induction)
- Working at Heights ticket
- Current driver's licence
- Reliable transport to Brooklyn warehouse (50 Buchanan Road)
- Valid work visa or Australian citizenship/permanent residency required
Good to Have (Not Essential)
- EWP (Elevated Work Platform) licence
- Confined spaces training
- Experience with commercial or industrial roofing projects

- Above-award hourly rates — $64.3 – $74.30/hr depending on role and level
