Advanced Roof Systems Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Roof Plumber & Trade Assistant to join our growing team in Adelaide. This is a full-time position based in Adelaide SA 5000. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing roof plumbing systems on residential and commercial properties.
You will work both independently and as part of a skilled team, contributing to the high-quality service that Advanced Roof Systems is known for. This position offers the opportunity to develop your expertise in roof plumbing whilst supporting the operational needs of our business.
What you'll be doing
- Installing and repairing roof plumbing systems including gutters, downpipes, flashings and related components
- Measuring, cutting and fitting roof plumbing materials to precise specifications
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant building codes and safety standards
- Conducting routine maintenance and inspections on roof plumbing systems
- Assisting senior plumbers with complex installations and troubleshooting issues
- Maintaining tools and equipment in good working order
- Communicating effectively with clients regarding project timelines and any issues that arise
- Keeping accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Contributing to a safe work environment by adhering to all health and safety protocols
What we're looking for
- Current and valid plumbing licence or qualification, or trade assistant certification relevant to plumbing work
- Proven experience working as a roof plumber or plumbing trade assistant in the construction or maintenance industry
- Robust practical skills with hand and power tools commonly used in roof plumbing
- Knowledge of roof plumbing materials, techniques and best practices
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- A good understanding of health and safety regulations and workplace practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Physical fitness and capability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
- A valid driver's licence and reliable transport for travelling between job sites
- Current First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it
