Orana is a not-for-profit organisation providing accommodation, support, and respite services to individuals with disabilities across South Australia. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Rostering Officer to join our team in a permanent part time weekend role. This position works every Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am to 1:00pm and plays a vital role in ensuring effective workforce coordination and continuity of support services.

In this quick-paced role, you will be responsible for optimising staffing resources to minimise external labour costs and ensure seamless service delivery to our clients. This position requires strong initiative, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.

Position Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Responding to rostering requests promptly and efficiently.

- Allocating casual relief staff to vacant shifts.

- Keeping monthly rosters up to date to ensure real-time accuracy.

- Performing general administrative tasks as required.

- Delivering outstanding customer service in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

- Managing staff queries regarding rosters and ensuring timely resolution.





- Filling unassigned shifts quickly to minimise disruption to clients and maximise cost-effectiveness.

- Completing all tasks with precision and efficiency.

- Undertaking additional duties as directed by management.

Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Experience in rostering or scheduling (TimeTarget experience is an advantage).

- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

- Experience in the disability sector is highly desirable.

- Excellent communication skills and a professional phone manner.

- Knowledge of the SCHADS Award is desirable.

- Availability to work every Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am to 1:00pm in a permanent part-time capacity.

Performance Standards

Your performance will be assessed based on:

- Achieving outcomes aligned with Orana's strategic and operational plans.

- Successfully fulfilling position responsibilities with professionalism and flexibility.

- Providing reliable, high-quality, and efficient services.

- Contributing effectively to team goals and fostering positive relationships with colleagues.

- Ensuring rosters are published with a minimum of 14 days' notice, in compliance with the SCHADS Award.

- Achieving a 100% fill rate for unassigned shifts.

- Minimising the use of overtime penalties.
