Air Refuel, a wholly owned subsidiary of bp Australia, is seeking an exceptional Melbourne Airport Manager to lead our Melbourne Airport operation. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven operations leader to take ownership of a critical aviation fuel business, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient aircraft refuelling services for some of the world's leading airlines.

What you'll deliver

Lead and Inspire:

Build and lead a safe, engaged, and high-performing workforce. Champion bp's safety leadership principles and Air Refuel's Code of Conduct and foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and exceptional customer service.

Safety First, Second and Third:

Lead a world-class safety culture focused on achieving zero injuries, zero spills, and zero equipment damage. Ensure compliance with Air bp standards, local regulations, and operational procedures and develop strong partnerships with airport and airline stakeholders and contractors to proactively manage emerging risks.

Manage Critical Assets:

Oversee maintenance programs for a fleet of specialised refuelling vehicles. Ensure operational readiness, minimise equipment downtime and manage contractors and suppliers to deliver secure and efficient outcomes.

Deliver Quality & Business Performance:

Maintain industry-leading fuel quality standards. Manage budgets, operating expenses, and monthly operational reporting and support continuous improvement across people, systems, and processes.

About you





You thrive in fast-moving operational environments and know how to bring out the best in people. You'll likely have:

- Proven leadership experience with a track record of positively influencing teams.
- Strong experience applying health, safety, and operational standards.
- Excellent stakeholder and customer relationship skills.
- Experience in aviation services, logistics, transport, resources, industrial operations, or a related industry.
- The ability to make sound decisions under pressure while maintaining a focus on safety and customer outcomes.
- Previous experience in aviation fuelling or airport operations will be highly regarded.
- Tertiary qualifications in a technical discipline are preferred for this role but not essential.
