We are an electrical switchboard manufacturing company in Hallam, Melbourne, looking to increase our workforce with a motivated electrical electrician who has excellent problem-solving abilities. This will be a rewarding role in our well-established company who have long-term employees.
You will be valued as a part of our team and expected to work Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 4:30pm Friday 8:00am – 2:30pm in our Hallam Factory.
About the role
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in low voltage switchboard manufacturing preferably with knowledge of local service and installation rules. Electrical control and copper busbar experience will be highly regarded. This role is offered as a full-time permanent position. We are seeking an immediate start.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Building switchboards & other electrical distribution products
- Wiring and testing
- Strong ability to use both hand tools and power tools.
- Work as part of the team to meet daily output requirements and exceed customers' expectations
- Some delivery work may be required so a driver's licence is essential

Skills and experience
- Electrical Engineering or Electrical Trade background
- Knowledge in electrical switchboards, control systems, wiring and bus bar work, power distribution, electrical installations and manufacturing practices
- Experience in copper busbar fabrication and control cabling
- Working knowledge of Supply Authority regulations and Australian Standards
- Must be capable of reading and interpreting electrical drawings
- Strong ability to use both hand tools and power tools.
- Strong work ethic being reliable and able to meet timelines
- Ability to work in a team workplace or autonomously
- Cert. III in Electrotechnology or equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience as an electrical fitter/switchboard builder
- Current Driver's Licence
- A-Grade Electrician licence is required at application
- Must be an Australian citizen to be eligible for this position
