Job Description

JD – BASIS

We are seeking an experienced SAP BASIS Consultant with 10+ years of expertise in SAP system administration, installation, upgrades, migrations, performance tuning, and landscape management. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of SAP environments across SAP S/4HANA, ECC, BW, PI/PO, Solution Manager, and SAP HANA platforms.

Must Have Skills

- 10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP BASIS administration and support.
- Expertise in SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, SAP Solution Manager, SAP PI/PO, and SAP NetWeaver.
- Strong experience in SAP system installations, upgrades, kernel upgrades, and Support Package implementation.
- Hands-on experience with SAP HANA database administration.
- Experience in client copies, system refreshes, system copies, and SAP landscape management.
- Robust knowledge of SAP transport management (STMS) and ChaRM processes.
- Expertise in SAP performance monitoring and tuning.
- Experience in SAP security administration, user management, and authorization concepts.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for SAP application, database, and operating system issues.

SAP HANA & Database

- SAP HANA administration, backup/recovery, replication,



and performance optimization.
- Experience with AnyDB databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or ASE.
- Database upgrade and migration experience.

SAP S/4HANA

- Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Hands-on involvement in SAP S/4HANA migration and conversion projects.
- Knowledge of SUM/DMO migration methodologies.

High Availability & Disaster Recovery

- Experience with HANA System Replication.
- High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) setup and support.
- Backup strategy implementation and validation.
- Experience supporting SAP workloads on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Strong understanding of virtualization technologies.

Monitoring & Automation

- Experience with SAP Solution Manager monitoring.
- Exposure to automation and scripting using Shell, PowerShell, or Python.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and alert management.

Should Have Skills

SAP Technologies

- Experience supporting SAP Fiori, SAP Gateway, and SAP Web Dispatcher.
- SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) connectivity and integration.
- Knowledge of SAP Process Orchestration (PO) and CPI integration landscapes.

Project Experience

- Participation in SAP implementation, upgrade, migration, and rollout projects.
- Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and Service Management frameworks.





Security & Compliance

- Knowledge of SAP Security and GRC concepts.
- Experience in vulnerability remediation and SAP security patching.
- Audit compliance support and SOX compliance understanding.

Automation

- Infrastructure automation using Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
- Experience with CI/CD processes and release management.

Documentation & Governance

- Strong documentation skills for operational procedures and technical architecture.
- Experience conducting knowledge transfer sessions and mentoring junior BASIS consultants.

- SAP BTP administration and platform services.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain SAP landscapes ensuring high availability and performance.
- Perform SAP installations, upgrades, patches, and migrations.
- Administer SAP HANA and AnyDB databases.
- Execute system refreshes, client copies, and transport management activities.
- Monitor SAP systems proactively and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Manage disaster recovery, backup, and recovery processes.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security and governance standards.
- Provide 24x7 support for critical production issues when required.
