We are seeking a motivated Auto Electrician (Qualified or Apprentice) to join a Dandenong South workshop. You will be responsible for the end-to-end installation, maintenance, and diagnostic repair of electrical systems within custom-built commercial vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
Custom Installations:Manufacturing accessory looms and fitting off inverters, lighting, and specialised power systems.
System Integration:Installing and upgrading electrical components and high-level custom systems.
Diagnostics:Identifying and repairing electrical faults across a variety of commercial vehicle platforms.
Testing:Utilising diagnostic equipment to perform system troubleshooting and ensure peak performance.
Compliance & Safety:Maintaining strict adherence to safety standards and quality control protocols.
Documentation:Keeping accurate records of work performed and parts used.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:Ideally 3+ years in a commercial vehicle or manufacturing environment (highly regarded).
Technical Literacy:Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics (or the cognitive ability to learn this quickly under mentorship).
Problem Solving:A strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues on your feet.
Fast Learner:High cognitive ability to follow procedures and learn new systems in a fast-paced environment.
Team Player:Excellent communication skills and a commitment to a safe, collaborative workshop culture.
Beyond the Basics:Move away from repetitive service work and into high-level custom fit outs.
