Primary Purpose

This role exists to keep our government sites across Newcastle, Maitland and the wider region covered when the regular concierge is on leave or away at short notice. You'll move between sites as required, so the front desk stays staffed and the standard never drops.

Snapshot of Your Day

- You'll greet and assist visitors, issue passes, and keep the reception and waiting areas looking the way they should
- You'll handle access card administration, visitor and locker registers, key management, and the mail coming through the site
- You'll walk the floors daily, picking up cleanliness issues, fit-out faults and WHS hazards, and follow through until each one is resolve
- You'll set up meeting rooms, and sort out the smartboard, the AV or the printer when it plays up, along with stationery and kitchen supplies
- You'll work alongside a different team most weeks,



stepping into a site and getting it running properly without needing much of a handover

About You

You bring:

- Front-of-house, reception or customer service experience, ideally in a corporate or government environment
- Availability across the working week, including at short notice when a site needs covering
- Confidence with visitor management systems, access card administration, and Tier 1 troubleshooting on printers, AV and room bookings
- A National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one
- First aid and emergency warden accreditation, or willingness to be trained
- A licence and your own vehicle aren't essential, but they're a real advantage here. Sites are spread across the region, and having a car widens the range of shifts you can pick up

You're at your best when the day is wide-ranging and you're the person others rely on to keep it moving.
