About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Manager to lead our Horsham VIC store. This is a full-time position based in Horsham VIC 3400, where you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations and driving business success. As Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in creating an exceptional customer experience, managing team performance, and achieving sales and profitability targets. Your leadership will be instrumental in establishing a positive store culture and ensuring operational excellence across all areas of the business.

Key responsibilities

- Lead, manage and develop a team of sales and customer service staff, providing coaching, training and performance feedback
- Oversee all daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock management and merchandise display
- Drive sales performance and work towards achieving store targets and KPIs
- Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained at all times, creating a welcoming and professional setting
- Manage inventory control, stocktaking and ordering processes to maintain optimal product availability
- Monitor store budgets, control costs and maximise profitability
- Implement visual merchandising and promotional strategies to enhance product presentation and drive customer engagement
- Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally,



resolving issues to ensure satisfaction
- Maintain compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and local legislation
- Report on store performance metrics and provide regular updates
- Recruit, interview and onboard new team members as required

What we’re looking for

- Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably within the flooring, carpet or home improvement sector
- Solid leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets and manage P&L; responsibilities
- Excellent customer service orientation with a proven track record of delivering exceptional experiences
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Knowledge of visual merchandising and retail best practices
- Proficiency in retail systems and point-of-sale technology
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A professional appearance and commitment to maintaining high standards
- Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays as required
