If you're organised, detail-oriented and enjoy working behind the scenes to support meaningful work, this is your opportunity to join the Finance and Performance Team within Hunter New England Mental Health Service. You'll play an important role in ensuring financial processes run smoothly while supporting teams that deliver vital mental health care across the region.

About The Role

As a Finance Officer, you'll provide administrative and financial support to the Finance Managers and the broader Hunter New England Mental Health Service. Working in a collaborative team environment, you'll help maintain accurate financial records, assist with reporting and contribute to the day-to-day financial operations that support quality healthcare. Reporting to a Finance Manager, no two days are exactly the same. You'll work across a variety of financial and administrative tasks while building your skills and gaining valuable experience in a supportive environment.

What You'll Be Doing

- Provide administrative and financial support to the Finance and Performance Team.
- Assist with financial processing, reporting and reconciliation activities.




- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Prepare and process a range of finance-related transactions.
- Support Finance Managers with day-to-day operational requirements.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders across Hunter New England Mental Health Service.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of financial and administrative processes.

About You

- Working towards tertiary qualifications in business or accounting is highly regarded, and we'll support your continued professional development.

How You'll Be Supported

From day one, you'll be supported by experienced Finance Managers and the Senior Finance Manager through structured on-the-job training, mentoring and ongoing learning opportunities. As your confidence grows, you'll continue developing your financial knowledge and technical skills, including Excel.
