Role Description

The Storeman role at Getriebebau NORD GmbH & Co. KG is a full time, on-site position based in Derrimut, VIC. The Storeman is responsible for receiving, checking, and storing incoming goods, ensuring accurate documentation and efficient handling of components and finished products. Day-to-day tasks include picking and packing orders, preparing goods for dispatch, and organizing stock locations to maintain orderly and safe warehouse operations.



The role involves inventory control activities such as stock counts, monitoring stock levels, and reporting discrepancies, as well as operating material handling equipment according to safety guidelines. The Storeman collaborates with logistics, production, and customer service teams to support timely deliveries and smooth workflow in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Qualifications

- Strong warehouse operations skills, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods.
- Proficiency in inventory control and stock management, with attention to accuracy and documentation.
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) and follow WHS/OHS standards.
- Basic computer skills and experience with warehouse management or ERP systems for data entry and tracking.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with logistics, production, and service teams.
- Good organizational abilities, time management, and capacity to work reliably in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant experience in a warehouse, logistics, or industrial environment; exposure to mechanical components is an advantage.
- Valid forklift license and appropriate work rights in Australia; completion of secondary education or equivalent is preferred.
