Comtex Security & Defence is on the lookout for a motivated Electronic Security Technician to join our growing Sydney-based team.

You’ll get to work on enterprise level, cutting-edge security systems — from CCTV and alarms to access control and intercoms — across varied and high-impact projects in commercial, government, defence, transport, and more. No two days are the same.

What You'll Be Doing

- Install, program, commission, and service advanced electronic security systems
- Work solo or as part of a dynamic team
- Travel across the Sydney metro area (and sometimes beyond!)
- Tackle real-world challenges — like fault-finding and commissioning large-scale systems
- Represent Comtex to our valued clients — your communication skills matter

What We’re Looking For:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Certification in systems like Integriti, Gallagher, or Tecom
- Hands-on with enterprise VMS like Genetec, Milestone, or Avigilon
- NSW Security Licence (or willing to get one)
- Confident with tools, electronics,



basic IP networking, and reading security drawings/cable schedules etc.
- Excellent communicator, self-starter, and team player

Bonus Points if You Have:
- Experience with Inner Range Concept or DOE school systems
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident (for security clearance)
- Skills installing electronic locks, cabling, or door hardware
- MSIC/ASIC card
- White Card + EWP/Boom Lift ticket
- Cabling licence
