About the Role
This is a hands-on paid social role first, and a client role second. You will own the full campaign lifecycle across Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and TikTok, staying deep in-platform on build, optimisation, pacing and reporting, while also leading the day-to-day relationship on a portfolio of large Australian clients, many with global presence and multi-market complexity.
You will sit within a well-resourced account team, working under an Account Director and alongside Search, Video and analytics specialists. Most of your week is spent in-platform and in the numbers. The balance flexes with account needs, but the expectation is clear: you are the person who can build it, optimise it, and then explain it to the client.
Key Responsibilities
Social Strategy & Execution (primary focus)
- Own the full paid social campaign lifecycle across Meta and TikTok: research, setup, launch, optimisation and reporting.
- Manage budgets, pacing, audiences and creative rotation day to day, making in-platform decisions that protect delivery against revenue goals and KPIs.
- Read and act on social performance signals and platform dynamics, including learning phases, scaling thresholds and efficiency trends.
- Run structured A/B tests on creative, audiences and placements, then translate results into clear executional changes.
- Keep naming conventions, tracking, feeds and documentation accurate and consistent so campaigns are clean, auditable and easy to hand over.
- Act as first-line troubleshooter for technical and performance issues in-platform, identifying the cause and presenting a solution.
Performance & Optimisation
- Monitor campaigns daily to ensure performance and revenue objectives are on track, and intervene early when they are not.
- Review performance regularly across revenue, efficiency and pacing, and turn findings into a prioritised optimisation plan.
- Run post-campaign analysis and present clear, commercial recommendations for the next flight.
Client Leadership & Account Management (secondary focus)
- Act as the day-to-day client lead across your accounts, owning communication and delivery quality.
- Lead performance updates and storytelling on a weekly and monthly cadence, and be the go-to for deep-dive campaign insight and technical questions in reviews.
- Support the Account Director on strategic planning, growth opportunities and commercial conversations, including QBRs and strategic presentations.
- Translate client objectives into transparent, actionable briefs and optimisation priorities.
Cross-Channel Coordination
- Coordinate social activity alongside Search, Video and other channels, working closely with traders and specialists.
- Maintain oversight of performance, pacing and delivery against KPIs across the account, and proactively flag risks, opportunities and insights, escalating where required.
Internal Collaboration & Mentoring
- Work closely with trading, strategy, creative and analytics teams, and contribute to ways of working that cut unnecessary admin.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level team members, sharing best practice, giving feedback and helping them level up their social and account skills.
What We Are Looking For
Experience
- 3 to 6+ years in a media agency or digital marketing environment, with hands-on paid social experience.
- Paid social trading is required. Proven, current, in-platform experience across Meta and TikTok is the core requirement of this role.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and optimise social campaigns, including budgets, audiences, creative rotation and pacing.
- Comfortable interpreting social performance signals, including learning phases, scaling thresholds and efficiency trends.
- Confident moving between in-platform execution and client-facing conversations, explaining performance drivers and recommendations clearly.
- Experience supporting large or complex accounts (multi-brand, multi-market or high-spend environments preferred).
- Advantageous: exposure to Search and Google Ads, ecommerce or ROI-focused accounts, GA4, and reporting tools such as Looker Studio.
Skills & Attributes
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build trusted client relationships.
- Commercially minded, with a clear understanding of performance trade-offs, efficiency and scale.
- Highly organised and diligent, able to manage a high volume of priorities across accounts without losing accuracy.
- Analytical, and comfortable using data to inform decisions and recommendations.
- Proactive, solutions-oriented and calm under pressure,
with genuine ownership of outcomes.
- A collaborative team player who works well within multi-disciplinary teams.
