New to Senior Associate Opportunity

- Secure a Senior Associate conversion and step into the key seat alongside an established Litigation Partner
- Take ownership of insolvency, commercial and construction disputes in the $5 to $15 million range
- 2IC to collaborative and congenial Litigation Partner

The Opportunity This role is designed for the litigator who is ready to move beyond the broader associate group and secure their first Senior Associate title.

You will become the key lawyer aligned directly with the Partner leading the litigation practice of an established East Coast firm. The Partner is seeking a commercially astute and ambitious lawyer to operate as their right hand - taking greater ownership of matters, contributing to strategy and mentoring junior team members.

The Firm The Firm is an established multistate practice with a broad commercial offering and an entrenched client base. Its disputes capability operates across restructuring and insolvency, commercial litigation, construction, debt recovery, corporate and commercial matters, commercial property and intellectual property.

The Role

Cusp of Associate moving to first Senior Associate or within first two years of senior.

Matters will include

- Claims against former directors ranging from $5 million to $15 million
- Public examinations and disputes concerning document production
- Government contractual disputes valued above $10 million
- Applications for injunctions, security for costs and default judgments
- A breath of Corporate insolvency, restructuring and recovery proceedings

You will draft pleadings, evidence, and submissions; manage discovery; prepare matters for examinations and hearings; and liaise directly with clients, counsel, insolvency practitioners and other stakeholders. As the senior lawyer supporting the Partner, you will have input into increasing responsibility for matter strategy, delegation, client management and the development of junior lawyers.

About You

- From 4-7 years’ PQE gained in a quality commercial litigation, ideally with insolvency disputes experience
- The judgement and ambition to step into a first Senior Associate position and operate with increasing autonomy
- A commercial, collaborative and grounded approach suited to working closely with an established Partner and junior team
