Assignment until: 30/06/2027 with possible extensions.
Rate: $800 - $969 p/d incl super.
Location: 3 days a week in office minimum - Based in Sydney Olympic Park.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design, development, and deployment of Large Language Model (LLM) and AI-powered solutions that are scientifically robust, thoroughly tested, and aligned with governance, ethical, privacy, and human oversight requirements.
- Develop and implement advanced statistical and machine learning models, including regression, classification, time-series forecasting, Bayesian analysis, causal inference, hypothesis testing, ensemble methods, and predictive analytics.
- Design and execute robust experimental frameworks, including hypothesis formulation, statistical power analysis, validation strategies, bias assessment, confidence and prediction intervals, and evaluation methodologies.

About you

- Extensive experience in data science, advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI.
- Strong expertise in statistical modelling, predictive analytics, experimental design, and hypothesis testing.
- Experience developing and deploying LLM and generative AI solutions using contemporary frameworks and best practices.
- Knowledge of MLOps and AIOps principles, including model validation, monitoring, version control, and continuous improvement.
