About One-Six-One

One-Six-One is one of Melbourne's premier nightlife and entertainment venues, located in the heart of Prahran. As our business continues to grow, technology has become a critical component of our operations, supporting point-of-sale systems, payment platforms, venue security, customer management, business reporting, digital marketing, and day-to-day administration.

To support our continued growth and digital transformation initiatives, One-Six-One is establishing an internal Information Technology function to oversee and manage the venue's technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, business systems, and digital operations.

We are seeking a motivated and technically capable IT Support & Systems Administrator to lead and manage the venue's internal ICT operations and support the development of our growing technology environment.

This is a unique chance to establish and manage the internal IT function of a leading hospitality business while driving innovation, security, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

IT Infrastructure & Systems Administration

Install, configure, maintain, and support computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure.

Administer Microsoft Windows environments, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and cloud-based services.

Manage user accounts, permissions, password administration, and onboarding/offboarding processes.

Maintain IT asset registers and technology documentation.

Hospitality Technology Support

Administer and support POS systems, EFTPOS terminals, printers, tablets, and mobile devices.

Support booking systems, reservation systems,



and business management applications.

Maintain venue audiovisual systems and digital displays.

Coordinate with third‑party vendors and service providers regarding technology systems and upgrades.

Network Administration

Monitor and maintain wired and wireless network infrastructure.

Support routers, switches, VPN connectivity, internet services, and network security configurations.

Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues to minimise business downtime.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

Implement cybersecurity best practices and endpoint protection measures.

Manage antivirus solutions, patch management, and system updates.

Assist in developing business continuity, backup, and disaster recovery procedures.

Monitor and improve information security practices and user awareness.

Business Systems & Reporting

Support the implementation and administration of business systems and backend technologies.

Assist management with technology projects, digital transformation initiatives, and process automation.

Develop and maintain technical procedures and documentation to improve operational efficiency.

User Support

Provide Level 1 and Level 2 ICT support to management and staff.

Respond to and resolve technical incidents and service requests.





Deliver onsite support and training to end users on business systems and applications.

Skills & Experience

Minimum one year of relevant experience in ICT support, systems administration, service desk, or desktop support environments.

Experience supporting Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking, and business applications.

Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, and connectivity issues.

Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, and wireless networking.

Strong understanding of IT service management principles and technical documentation.

Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced business environment.

Experience supporting POS and EFTPOS systems.

Experience in hospitality, entertainment, or customer‑facing environments.

Exposure to cybersecurity principles and cloud technologies.

Qualifications

Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Bachelor's degree, or higher qualification in:

Information Technology

Cyber Security

Networking

Information Systems

Computer Science

Related ICT discipline.

Professional certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, Azure, or ITIL will be highly regarded.

What We Offer

Competitive salary package of $75,000 – $85,000 plus superannuation.
