PIPA is Australia’s peak body for plastics pipe systems, recognised for technical leadership, standards development, sustainability initiatives and industry issues management. We support the safe, durable and environmentally responsible use of plastic pipe systems across infrastructure, utilities and construction.

We are seeking an Executive General Manager to lead the organisation and deliver PIPA’s strategic objectives on behalf of members. Reporting to the Chair of the Board, the EGM provides leadership across advocacy, technical programs, sustainability, education, stakeholder engagement and organisational governance.

You will represent PIPA at senior levels of government, regulatory bodies, utilities and industry associations, advocating for policies and standards that support appropriate use of plastic pipe systems. The role oversees PIPA’s technical committees, publications and standards participation,



and drives initiatives relating to sustainability, circular economy and product stewardship.

Strengthening member value, industry influence and stakeholder confidence is central to the role.

You will bring senior leadership experience, solid stakeholder engagement and advocacy capability, and an understanding of technical, infrastructure, manufacturing, utilities, engineering or construction sectors. Experience in industry associations or standards environments is highly regarded. Political awareness and excellent communication skills are essential and commercial acumen is beneficial.
