This is a varied position combining maintenance responsibilities with student transport duties.
You'll begin and end your day driving the school bus between our Meadow Springs and Halls Head campuses, ensuring students travel safely. Between scheduled bus runs, you'll undertake a broad range of maintenance tasks to keep our facilities operating at their best.
Whether you're repairing furniture, completing minor building works, assisting with school events, or helping improve our learning spaces, your skills will have a genuine impact on the daily experience of our students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Facilities
- Respond to maintenance requests and repair issues across both campuses
- Complete general repairs and preventative maintenance
- Carry out minor carpentry, construction and handyman works
- Perform basic plumbing repairs where appropriate
- Maintain doors, locks, windows and campus fixtures
- Repair furniture, classroom equipment and learning resources
- Undertake minor painting and touch-up work
- Maintain external areas, signage and lighting
- Assist with school event setup and pack-down
- Support contractors working onsite
- Help ensure our campuses remain safe, clean and welcoming
School Bus Operations
- Drive students safely between campuses each morning and afternoon
- Conduct daily vehicle safety checks
- Maintain vehicle records and logbooks
- Ensure the bus remains clean, protected and roadworthy
- Monitor student safety and behaviour while travelling

- Experience in general maintenance, facilities, building trades, or a similar hands-on role
- Strong practical skills and the ability to work independently

- Pride in delivering quality work
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current National Police Clearance
- Light Rigid (LR) Driver's Licence, or willingness to obtain
- Passenger Transport Driver Authorisation
- Clean driving record
- Sound understanding of Workplace Health and Safety practices

- Trade qualification
- Forklift licence
- Experience working in schools, facilities, or similar environments
