NECA Education & Careers in Partnership with our host employer are recruiting for our September/October intake is looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Telecommunications Traineeship and earn a nationally recognised Certificate III in Telecommunications Technology.

Over the course of this 36 Month Traineeship, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience while learning from industry professionals. You'll be employed by NECA Education & Careers and placed with one of our leading host employers, who specialises in delivering end-to-end ICT solutions, including data centers, audio visual systems, client services, and commercial fit-outs.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Trainee Telecommunications Technician, you'll work at various locations across Melbourne, gaining practical experience in a supportive learning environment. You'll receive comprehensive on-the-job training while developing the skills needed for a successful career in telecommunications.

Your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

- Running, installing, and terminating telecommunications cabling.
- Identifying, locating, and rectifying telecommunications network faults.
- Installing, testing, and terminating fibre optic cabling and cable tray systems.
- Installing and maintaining CCTV systems, access control systems, and security devices.




- Setting up and installing audio-visual equipment, including TVs, screens, speakers, and display systems.
- Safely using a range of hand and power tools.

Please note: The anticipated commencement date for this position is September/October 2026.

About You:

We're looking for someone who is:

- Passionate about starting a career in the telecommunications industry.
- Eager to learn new skills and committed to completing a three-year traineeship.
- Reliable, punctual, and has a strong work ethic.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Committed to maintaining a safe work workplace.
- Holds a current White Card or willing to obtain
- Driver’s License and has access to own vehicle.
- Willing to complete a National Police Check and pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
