As we move into our new, modern workshop premises, we are expanding our team and looking for a motivated and skilled mechanic to join us. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the next chapter of Diesel Services Queensland and work in a purpose-built environment with quality equipment and a great team culture.
Whether you're an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic, a qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic looking to transition into the heavy vehicle industry, or a 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy vehicles, including engines, transmissions, and brake systems.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and address them promptly.
- Replace or repair faulty components and systems.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve optimal results and share best practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic or similar role.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and heavy vehicle systems.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment and hand tools effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Certificate III in Engineering-Mechanical trade or similar trade.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license is required; a heavy vehicle license and forklift license is a plus.
