We have an immediate vacant position for a highly organised and detail-oriented Payroll & Finance Administration Officer to support the Finance team by managing end-to-end payroll processing and providing finance and HR administration support. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant payroll operations, maintaining employee records, assisting with accounts payable functions, and contributing to process improvements across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly and monthly payroll accurately and on time.
- Manage Superannuation calculations, lodgements, and payments.
- Complete Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Administer WorkCover reporting, claims, and related documentation.
- Assist with Accounts Payable invoice processing.
- Enter and reconcile intercompany invoices.
- Set up and maintain supplier records.
- Support internal and external audit requirements as required.
Human Resources Administration
- Coordinate employee onboarding and new starter documentation.
- Maintain employee records and process changes to employee details.
- Manage leave applications and employee leave records.
- Administer child support reporting and payroll deductions.
- Assist with WorkCover administration and employee-related documentation.
Continuous Improvement & Team Support
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiencies, and controls within payroll and finance functions.
- Provide backup support across the finance and administration team as required.
- Undertake additional duties as directed by the Finance Manager.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in payroll, finance administration, or accounts administration.
- Robust understanding of payroll legislation, Superannuation, STP reporting, and payroll compliance requirements.
- Experience with Accounts Payable processes.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
