Senior Associate - Project Finance

About the role
Vinova are partnering with a leading energy developer to appoint a Senior Associate within its Melbourne-based Project Finance team.
Reporting into senior members of the investment function, you'll play a key role in evaluating, structuring and executing project finance transactions across renewable energy assets.
Working closely with investment professionals, lenders, legal advisers, technical consultants and external stakeholders, you'll support acquisitions, debt financings, refinancings and investment decisions through to financial close while contributing to the continued growth of the platform.
Duties
- Build and review complex financial models to support acquisitions and project financings
- Support debt structuring, lender engagement and financing strategy across major transactions
- Prepare investment committee papers, commercial analysis and transaction recommendations
- Work alongside legal, commercial and technical advisers to deliver successful financial close
- Assess project risks, capital structures and investment opportunities
- Mentor junior team members and support the wider development of the finance team
Skills & Experience
- Experience within project finance, infrastructure investment, investment banking or advisory
- Strong financial modelling and valuation capability
- Experience supporting debt financing, lender processes and transaction execution
- Exposure to infrastructure acquisitions, refinancings or major capital projects
- Degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics or a related discipline (CA or CFA advantageous)
