What is your role?
As Senior Bid Manager, you will lead the development of high-quality, tailored, and strategically positioned bids, tenders, and proposals. You will work closely with the Director of Strategic Growth and discipline leads to directly contribute to the organisation's growth. You will step beyond your organisation to set industry standards, drive innovation, and shape the future direction of the market. You will:
- Lead go/no-go discussions and ensure bid efforts tightly align with broader business objectives and target sectors.
- Manage the technical team and the entire bid process to ensure seamless, high-quality production and delivery.
- Tailor proposals and executive summaries by researching the client and project vision to identify key win themes.
- Promote and implement bid processes, offering best practice advice on pursuit planning and bid strategy.
- Monitor market intelligence, competitor activity, and risk management throughout the bid process.
- Facilitate post-bid reviews to capture lessons learned and continuously drive performance improvement.
- Drive CRM strategies and attend industry events to represent the ADP brand and share follow-up collateral.
- Mentor the bid team and junior staff to foster their professional growth and development.

About You
- Experience: Generally 8-10 years' experience in your field, with a strong background in bid management and business development within engineering, construction, or professional services.
- Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualification combined with equivalent training and accreditation.
- Technical expertise: Strong knowledge of proposal writing, bid strategy, project management for proposals, and CRM implementation.
- Technical skills:
High level of proficiency in advanced visualisation tools, including InDesign, alongside advanced MS Office skills. Templafy experience is highly regarded.
- Attributes: Well-developed problem-solving skills, substantial initiative, excellent communication across multiple disciplines, and the confidence to independently meet objectives while building trust with stakeholders.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior team members, with a commitment to fostering a collaborative and high-performing bid culture.
