Yindjibarndi Energy Corporation (YEC) is seeking a Senior Communications Advisor to support the delivery of communications, content and marketing activities across one of Australia's largest Indigenous-led renewable energy initiatives.

This role is ideal for an experienced communications professional who enjoys working across a diverse range of projects, managing competing priorities, and producing high-quality content that informs, engages and influences a variety of audiences.

About YEC

Yindjibarndi Energy Corporation (YEC) is a partnership between Yindjibarndi Aboriginal Corporation (YAC) and international renewable energy company ACEN.

Together, we are developing renewable energy projects on Yindjibarndi Country in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, creating opportunities for clean energy development, Indigenous participation, local employment and long-term community benefit.

About the Role

Reporting to the Manager, Sustainability, Stakeholder Engagement & Communications, you will play a key role in delivering YEC's communications program.

You will manage multiple communications projects concurrently while producing high-quality content across a range of internal and external channels. Working closely with colleagues across YEC and ACEN Australia, you will help strengthen stakeholder relationships, support project development activities and enhance YEC's profile and reputation.

Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting the development and delivery of communication and marketing initiatives aligned with organisational objectives
- Writing and editing high-quality content across a range of channels and audiences




- Preparing newsletters, media releases, project updates, presentations, award submissions and stakeholder communications
- Managing website content and social media channels
- Coordinating photography, video and creative content development
- Supporting community events, project milestones and stakeholder engagement activities
- Managing communications projects from planning through to delivery
- Maintaining brand standards and ensuring consistent messaging across all communications
- Monitoring communications performance and preparing reports and recommendations

About You You are an experienced communications professional who combines outstanding writing skills with exceptional organisation and project management capability.

You can confidently manage competing priorities, work independently and deliver polished, high-quality communications under tight deadlines.

Essential

- Demonstrated experience in communications, corporate affairs, public relations or a related field.
- Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills.
- Experience translating complex or technical information into clear, engaging communications for a range of audiences.
- Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work to deadline.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Experience developing content across digital, stakeholder and corporate communications channels.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects from concept through to delivery.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital communications platforms.




- Current C-Class Driver's Licence and willingness to undertake occasional travel

Highly Regarded

- Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, resources, government or community-focused organisations.
- Experience developing communications that support stakeholder engagement, social performance, sustainability or community impact objectives.
- Expertise preparing sustainability, ESG, social performance, community engagement or impact reporting materials.
- Experience working with Aboriginal organisations, Traditional Owner groups or regional communities.
- Understanding of stakeholder engagement and social performance principles.
