Join a leading Big 4 M&A; Tax team and work on some of the most significant transactions across Australia’s real estate and investment markets.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Consultant to advise an impressive portfolio of fund managers, asset managers, private equity houses and investment firms. You’ll work alongside highly regarded tax and transaction specialists, supporting clients throughout the full investment lifecycle from acquisition and structuring through to refinancing, divestment and exit.

The opportunity

You will gain exposure to complex, high profile transactions involving real estate, infrastructure and alternative investments. Your responsibilities will include:

- Advising on the tax implications of acquisitions, disposals, restructures and capital transactions
- Supporting domestic and cross border tax due diligence engagements
- Assisting with transaction structuring and investment modelling
- Identifying key tax risks and commercial opportunities
- Preparing clear, commercially focused advice for sophisticated investment clients
- Working closely with legal, corporate finance, valuations and broader deals specialists
- Building relationships with leading fund managers, asset managers, PE firms and institutional investors
- Supporting junior team members and contributing to their development

About you

- Experience within corporate tax, transaction tax, M&A; tax, real estate tax or funds
- A background in a Big 4, mid tier accounting firm, law firm or relevant commercial environment




- Strong technical tax knowledge and an interest in transactions and investment markets
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills
- A commercial mindset and the ability to explain complex tax matters clearly
- CA, CPA, CTA or legal qualifications, or progress towards one of these qualifications

Previous real estate or investment management experience would be highly regarded, although corporate tax professionals seeking to move into a more transaction focused role are also encouraged to apply. Why join?
