St Paul Lutheran School (SPLS), located in Blair Athol (just 6km from the Adelaide CBD) is a future-focused Lutheran Primary School with a proud history of providing quality teaching and learning for over 50 years. With current enrolments around 250, the potential for growth is high.

With long serving Principal Leila Mattner relocating home to Waikerie and highly experienced Principal James Heyne serving in an interim capacity, there is a unique chance for a new educational leader to build on their positive legacy. Reporting to the SPLS Chair and Board and working closely with the tight knit Leadership Team and sector support at LESNW, the Principal’s key responsibilities include:

- providing faith-aligned leadership that embodies and promotes the Christ-centred Lutheran worldview and ethos of the School;
- leading, motivating and developing high performing educational, operational and support staff, with a strong focus on wellbeing across the school community;
- building deep, authentic relationships with staff, students, parents, key stakeholders and the wider community;
- overseeing the development and implementation of curriculum enhancements and achieving strategic objectives through structured planning processes;




- living and modelling a Lutheran worldview as it informs an authentic expression of faith-based education;
- overseeing the development and maintenance of contemporary educational facilities while ensuring sound governance of financial and physical resources.

Candidates must demonstrate a clear vision which aligns with the strategic plan, and creative thinking and capacity to identify and pursue innovative opportunities that enhance learning and advance the strategic objectives of the school.Exceptional relationship skills, warmth, empathy and a genuine affinity with the ethos of St Paul Lutheran School will be important.
