About the role
Job Location: 1 Spring Street, Melbourne
This is a Fixed Term Position until 9 July 2027
The Advisor Commonwealth Program supports the planning, funding, delivery and monitoring of transport investment programs, including Commonwealth–State funded projects. The role works closely with DTP, VIDA, State agencies and Commonwealth departments to ensure programs are effectively managed throughout their lifecycle and meet funding and compliance requirements.
Key responsibilities include providing advice to Ministers and senior leaders, managing stakeholder relationships, preparing high-quality briefings and correspondence, and ensuring programs comply with relevant agreements and administration requirements. The role also promotes collaboration across organisations, supports strategic objectives, and contributes to delivering integrated transport investment outcomes.
What we’re looking for
You’resomeone who:
- Has experience managing and coordinating transport investment programs and projects.
- Builds robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration.
- Provides clear, practical advice and tailors communication to meet stakeholder needs.
- Analyses complex issues, identifies solutions, and makes sound recommendations to achieve business outcomes.
- Uses an investment management approach to inform decision-making and demonstrates flexibility to support broader team and organisational goals.
Qualifications and experience
You’llbring:
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline. (Desirable)
Role specific requirements
- May involve evening or weekend work including occasional overnight travel
