The Avenue Children’s Centre and Kindergarten is a community-managed, 40-place long day care centre with a proud history of delivering high-quality education and care. New team members will be joining an experienced, collaborative team that values relationships, learning, and community.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Diploma-qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our 2–3 1/2 year- old educational program. This is a full-time role with a rotating roster between 7:15am–6:00pm.

As part of our dedicated and nurturing team, you will:

- Support and contribute to a high-quality educational program under the guidance of the Room leader
- Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Collaborate with others to meet the developmental needs of all children
- Assist with the smooth daily operations of the room, ensuring alignment with regulations and centre policies

About You

We are looking for a passionate, reliable,



and experienced educator who:

- Has a minimum of 5 years' experience working with children, including those with additional needs
- Demonstrates effective behaviour guidance strategies
- Works well in a team and responds positively to direction
- Communicates clearly and professionally with families and colleagues
- Is punctual, proactive, and able to adapt quickly to routines

Required Qualifications & Certifications:

- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
- Current Working with Children Check
- First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certificates
- Mandatory Reporting and Child Protection training
- Sound knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, NQF, and Child Safe Standards
