About the Job

We are looking for an Area Sales Manager (QLD), to start immediately in our Brisbane Office. This position will be reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, and the major duties include but are not limited to the following key focus areas:

Achieve sales and margin targets as per a business plan based on budget creation, sales reporting and pricing strategy.

Development and implementation of strategic initiatives designed to enhance the operation and performance of the business for new territories and customer development.

Achievement of operational and logistics objectives and strategies regarding Warehouse performance and KPI’s, stock variances and consignments, warranty returns and operational policies and procedures.

Prompt management of staffing issues including staff recruitment, development, performance measurement and response.





Achievement of administrative effectiveness within the territory regarding objectives and KPI’s, debtors’ control, agents monitoring and training, branch performance and implementation of policies, procedures and processes.

Development of close working relationships with key customers across the territory to implement ongoing customer development and retention initiatives with current and new key customers and segments.

About You

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following competencies:

Ability to manage and develop customer relationships

Previous battery experience an advantage but not necessary

Proven sales skills (3-5 years’ experience)

Strong desire to improve the business

Knowledge and understanding of computers

Exceptional communication skills

Strong organisational skills and time management

Well-developed sales leadership and management capabilities

Sales account management and business planning capability

Sales coaching to build the capability of team performance

Performance management skills to hold the team to accountabilities and results

Business development skills, to initiate, drive and open current customers within the sectors

Liaise effectively with key internal and external stakeholders

Provide technical expertise to drive commercial outcomes

Possess the ability to provide and influence direction to the team
