Articolo Studios designs and manufactures decorative architectural lighting for projects around the world. We take great pride in the craft behind every piece we make, and in the people who make it happen. We believe in rewarding hard work, building strong relationships and encouraging fresh thinking within a cooperative studio and workshop environment.
With continued growth and an expanding project pipeline, an opportunity has arisen for a practical, hands‑on Technical Operations Assistant to support our technical team across product documentation, testing, assembly and general technical projects.
This role combines desk-based work with workshop tasks, making it ideal for someone who enjoys balancing administrative tasks with practical, product‑focused work.
If you enjoy new challenges and want to be part of a team that values reliability, curiosity and pride in the finished product, Articolo could be a great fit for you.
The opportunity on offer
As a Technical Operations Assistant, you will work alongside our technical, production and quality teams to help take products from concept through to finished, tested and well‑documented pieces. You will be involved in the detail - the wiring, the components, the records and the checks, that ensures every light leaving our door performs as beautifully as it looks. It is a role with real variety, plenty of learning and genuine ownership of the work you do.
What you'll be doing
Assisting with technical documentation, including datasheets and installation instructions
Supporting product certification
Basic wiring,
assembly and workshop tasks
Assisting with product testing and troubleshooting
Supporting production and quality control teams when required
Occasional site visits for inspections, testing or fault finding
Inspecting components and parts as required
What we're looking for
Basic understanding of electricity and wiring principles
Practical mindset and comfortable using tools
Strong attention to detail
Good organisational skills
Willingness to learn and take initiative
Comfortable working on a mix of hands‑on and computer-based tasks
Willingness to work in an evolving and fast‑paced environment
Experience
Experience in electrical, mechanical, manufacturing or technical environments is helpful but not essential.
We value practical experience just as much as formal qualifications.
Experience with CAD software, Adobe Illustrator or Adobe InDesign would be an advantage but can be taught.
What matters most
Reliability
Willingness to learn
Good problem‑solving skills
Taking pride in your work
This is a great opportunity for someone starting their career or looking to develop their technical skills in product development, manufacturing and lighting technology.
What makes working with us unique
We have a close-knit, inclusive team culture, and that comes down to the people who work here - practical, curious self‑stators who care about the detail and enjoy seeing a product come together from the first sketch to the final inspection. You will be supported, shown the ropes and given room to grow your skills as the business grows.
