Private surgical practice is seeking a Specialist Medical Receptionist to join their team to cover all facets of a busy front desk and the various administration tasks that come with the role. Bonus! Free on-site parking.
This impressiveopportunity exists for an enthusiastic, motivated, and caring Medical Receptionist to work with a leader in the field of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. This could be the opportunity you have been looking for as extensive training will be provided.
This position will suit someone who enjoysvariety as the role covers all facets of a Medical Receptionist position – front of house reception, welcoming visitors/patients to the practice, processing and receipting patients consult accounts, plus various administration duties.
The practice strives to offer patients the highest degree of support and service throughout their journey and is seeking a like-minded candidate to provide excellent care and attention to their needs.Candidates with a general sector administration background are encouraged to apply as they will be highly regarded. The role is based in Box Hill with the requirement to work from Knox (once per month).

where you will be well supported by your colleagues. The position is offered on a permanent part-time basis, 2.5 days per week: Monday afternoon - 1 pm to 5.00 pm, Tuesday and Wednesday 8.45 am to 5.00 pm, with the flexibility to cover leave when required.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Patient billing: Medicare, Private, DVA TAC, and WorkCover claims
- Eclipse billing and receipting.
- Meet and greet patients on arrival and answer phone enquiries
- Booking patients for surgery, explaining admission details and costs associated and informed financial consent.
- Organise pre- and post-op appointments.
- Prepare and send surgical lists to hospitals.
- Liaising with anaesthetists’ rooms.
- Ordering equipment for theatre.
- Check and inform patients of health insurance eligibility.
- Prepare quotes for patients and advise on fee structure and gap payments.
- Use of Gentu medical software.
- Reliable, punctual, and shows initiative with strong attention to detail.
- Previous experience working in an administration role
- Computer literacy (Gentu - happy to train)
