We are seeking passionate and motivated Associate Civil Engineer, Senior Civil Engineer, Civil Engineer, and Civil Designer to join our growing Melbourne team.

You will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting, supporting the design and delivery of civil engineering solutions across a range of sectors while developing your professional expertise and career.
Depending on your level of experience, you may be involved in project leadership, technical design, client engagement, team mentoring, and the preparation of quality engineering documentation. You will play an important role in delivering practical, innovative, and economical engineering outcomes that meet client expectations and industry standards.

In this role, you will be accountable for the following:
Civil Engineering, Design & Technical Delivery
- Apply civil engineering principles to develop practical, sustainable, and economical solutions for engineering challenges.
- Prepare and manage civil engineering designs, technical documentation, specifications, reports, drawings, and modelling outputs.
- Deliver high-quality civil designs including drainage, roads, pavements, earthworks, stormwater, retaining walls, water and sewer infrastructure.
- Develop and coordinate Civil 3D and/or 12D models and associated design documentation where applicable.
- Undertake design reviews and checks to ensure compliance with project requirements, relevant standards, and engineering best practice.
- Liaise with project teams, clients, stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and authorities to resolve design and coordination issues.
- Contribute to innovative engineering solutions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Project Management & Client Engagement
- Assist with or lead project delivery, including planning, scheduling, resource coordination, technical documentation, tender submissions, and fee proposals.
- Deliver projects within agreed budgets, timeframes, and quality expectations.
- Support client engagement activities and maintain effective communication throughout project lifecycles.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and technical submissions for clients and project stakeholders.
- Contribute to project financial performance, risk management, and business growth opportunities.
Leadership & Team Development
- Mentor, support, and collaborate with engineers, designers, drafters, and graduates.
- Share technical knowledge and promote best‑practice engineering methodologies.
- Assist in developing team capability through coaching, technical guidance, and collaborative problem‑solving.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture focused on quality, innovation, and professional growth.
Who are we looking for
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role.
- Professional accreditation, registration, or certification appropriate to your level of experience and local regulatory requirements (or a commitment to obtain it) will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience in civil engineering design, project delivery, or civil design drafting within a consulting, contractor, or developer environment.
- Experience in drainage, stormwater, pavements, roads, earthworks, retaining walls, and water or sewer infrastructure design.
- Experience using Civil 3D and/or 12D software will be highly regarded for designer-based roles.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, design standards, and industry best practice.
- Demonstrated project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly developed communication skills to effectively communicate and coordinate with project teams, clients, stakeholders, authorities, consultants, and contractors.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to read and implement local and state standards.
- A proactive approach to professional development, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
- English communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to prepare and review technical documentation.
