Geelong Lutheran College is seeking passionate and dedicated Primary Teachers to join our learning community in 2027 with opportunities available at both primary campuses - St Johns Newtown and Armstrong Creek.

About the Role
We welcome applications from creative, inquiring and enthusiastic educators who have a genuine commitment to the education and wellbeing of young people. The successful candidate will valuea strong approach to student well-being and a commitment to nurturing positive relationships. Along with the ability to create engaging and inclusive classroom environments.
Demonstrated competence with technology and ICT to enhance the educational program is strongly desirable and International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) experience in a similar setting would be well regarded.
As a member of our skilled and collaborative teaching team, you will:
- Design and deliver effective learning experiences using contemporary teaching practices.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum, including content, concepts and skill development.
- Differentiate learning to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Foster students’ intellectual, spiritual, cultural, physical and social growth through purposeful learning experiences.
- Develop and utilise a range of resources, including digital technologies, to enrich learning.
- Assess and monitor student progress and implement appropriate teaching strategies.
- Create safe, positive and inclusive classroom environments where students feel valued and supported.
- Collaborate with colleagues and key staff to provide the best possible educational outcomes for students.
You will be required to engage students in learning that nurtures their self-esteem, encourages self-reflection and develops compassion, respect and tolerance as a foundation on which they will build their lives in an environment that values education.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Current VIT registration (or eligibility for registration).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive education.
- Full-time and part-time opportunities available.
- Commencing January 2027.
