We are Australia’s National Vocational Education and Training (VET) regulator.

Overview

We regulate providers that deliver VET qualifications and courses to students in Australia or offer Australian qualifications internationally. Responsibilities

- Managing the team’s inbox and calendars, including responding to or redirecting queries as appropriate, and filing emails and documents
- Assisting with the preparation of documents, primarily in matters before the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART)
- Responding or drafting responses to correspondence and liaising with relevant court and tribunal registries
- General administrative tasks as required, including data entry and reporting responsibilities using relevant internal databases, registers, and other tools
- Undertaking accurate records management in accordance with approved processes
- Simple budgeting and associated reporting responsibilities, including the preparation of invoices for payment and purchase order requests

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will have:

- Knowledge of or the ability to quickly acquire the knowledge of the Acts and compliance requirements relevant to the VET and overseas student sectors, including an understanding of the Commonwealth Legal Framework
- Experience undertaking a broad range of administrative support activities, including an understanding of the principles of good public administration and/or of legal administrative or paralegal support
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel and experience using other information systems and databases
- A highly developed attention to detail




- Highly developed oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to professionally manage internal and external relationships
- Highly developed organisational skills including the ability to meet deadlines and to work under pressure with minimum supervision

Applicants must be Australian citizens and will be required to undergo pre‑employment checks including a Federal Police Check and obtain a minimum Baseline Security Clearance.

These positions are available as an ongoing or non‑ongoing opportunity. Non‑ongoing opportunities will be offered for an initial fixed term period of up to 12 months, with the potential to be extended further or to become ongoing.
