ROLE SNAPSHOT Senior Desktop Support role being the primary IT point of contact for ~5 sites, providing end-user technical support across desktop hardware/software, mobility, printers, AV/VC, and networking connectivity + network devices.

A key focus is on in-person communication, customer service, and stakeholder engagement, to identify opportunities for improvement and uplift IT service delivery.

Responsibilities:

- Provide onsite and remote Desktop Support to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve a broad range of technical issues.
- Travel to and provide onsite support to ~5 site locations across the Hunter and Mid North Coast regions.
- Hands-on support across desktop hardware/software, mobility, AV/VC, and network devices (wireless access points, switches, VPN, TC/IP etc).
- Collaborate with internal IT teams to resolve complex technical issues.
- Project delivery - contribute to desktop and networking projects.
- Build robust relationships with each site to understand specific IT needs/pain points and proactively develop solutions to address these and improve IT services.
- Circa 4 days in office, 1 day WFH.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE / BACKGROUND / QUALITIES: Suitable for a Desktop Support professional with corporate IT Support experience across Microsoft environments and who enjoys supporting users in-person.





Ideal for someone who can operate independently and is seeking a role where they can take ownership of end-user support and improve IT service delivery.

The following is required:

- 4+ years technical support experience troubleshooting and supporting desktop hardware/software, mobility, and network connectivity.
- Core support skills across Microsoft desktop technologies (M365, Active Directory, Windows etc).
- Logical troubleshooting & problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting mid-sized yet complex corporate environments.
- Full Australian driver's license and comfortable driving to sites across the Hunter and occasionally the Mid North Coast (company car available).

Personality & attitude:
- Outgoing 'people person' who enjoys in-person interaction with end users to understand and then proactively address their needs.
- Friendly and approachable with excellent communication & customer-service skills.
- Eager to build presence, form relationships, and become the 'face of IT'.
- Professional presentation.

This is a full-time permanent role located in Newcastle and is offering $100,000 - $110,000+super (depending on experience).
