Your recent company An established Queensland Government organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Supervisor to join its Cairns-based team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the delivery of electrical projects across a diverse portfolio while working with a highly skilled team committed to safety, quality, and customer service.

Your new role

Based in the Cairns office, you'll work Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm, overseeing the successful planning and delivery of electrical engineering and maintenance services throughout the region.

Your responsibilities will include

- Supervising office staff, field staff, and subcontractors to deliver projects safely and efficiently
- Managing resources including plant, equipment, depots, and fleet vehicles
- Coordinating and overseeing electrical projects to ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and organisational policies
- Providing expert electrical advice, design support, and technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through regular communication and effective stakeholder management
- Driving a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements
- Managing regional electrical safety responsibilities, including audits, safety meetings, and compliance activities
- Monitoring staff performance, development, and conduct to achieve operational outcomes
- A pool vehicle will be available for site visits and inspections as required.





What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Current Queensland Electrical Workers Licence
- Current WHS General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Current CPR certification
- Current C Class Driver Licence
- Strong knowledge of relevant electrical standards, legislation, and regulations
- Proven experience supervising electrical projects and teams
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Highly desirable:
- Experience managing and mentoring a small team of tradespeople
- Competency using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Previous experience working within a maintenance, construction, or government environment
