Hobart office works on projects across Tasmania, from Launceston to Hobart, shaping the state’s built environment. The team delivers smart, efficient structural design across airports, hotels, hospitals and commercial developments, drawing on strong local relationships and market insight. You will enjoy hands‑on responsibility, visible impact and the benefits of a close‑knit team in a unique setting.
About The Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in Hobart. This is a pivotal role focused on planning, managing, and delivering a diverse range of complex civil engineering projects. You will be responsible for ensuring successful project outcomes by managing quality, costs, and schedules to consistently exceed client expectations.
This includes overseeing and reviewing project planning and detailed design, delivering work to a high standard, and ensuring solutions are both innovative and commercially sound. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
RPEQ registration
7-10+ years of demonstrated civil design experience
Strong problem-solving ability and critical thinking capability
Experience managing the production and review of detailed engineering drawings
Working knowledge of construction methods and their influence on design
Sound understanding of design and commercial risk
Experience preparing clear and concise Business Cases, Planning Reports, and Design Development Reports
Demonstrated project management experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to foster strong client and stakeholder relationships
Proven ability to mentor and support a team, promoting capability growth and design excellence What’s in it for You?
