Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Senior Injury Management Consultant to join the People & Culture Team.

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our six main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

About the Role:

Are you an experienced Injury Management qualified ready to take the next step in your career?

Northern Health is seeking a Senior Injury Management Consultant to join our People & Culture team. This newly created role offers an exciting opportunity to combine hands-on case management with technical leadership, supporting the development and capability of our Injury Management Advisors while managing a portfolio of complex workers compensation and return to work cases.

Working closely with managers, clinicians, external providers and WorkSafe Agents, you will play a key role in delivering best-practice injury management outcomes, promoting early intervention,



and supporting safe and sustainable return to work for our people.

In this role, you will:

- Manage complex and high-risk injury management and workers compensation cases.
- Act as the team's technical expert and escalation point.
- Coach, mentor and develop Injury Management Advisors.
- Provide expert advice to leaders on injury management, return to work and legislative obligations.
- Partner with stakeholders to achieve positive return to work outcomes.
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives, reporting and quality assurance activities.

About You:

To be successful, you will bring:

- At least 5 years' experience in Injury Management, Return to Work or Workers Compensation.
- Strong knowledge of Victorian workers compensation legislation.
- Experience managing complex claims and challenging stakeholder matters.
- Proven ability to coach and mentor others.
- Exceptional communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or RTW Coordinator training will be highly regarded.
