ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Diversity & Inclusion Lead, you'll coordinate and support the delivery of diversity and inclusion initiatives across the organisation. You'll work collaboratively with employees, leaders and community stakeholders to implement projects, awareness campaigns and events that strengthen belonging and promote an inclusive culture.
This varied role combines project coordination, stakeholder engagement, communications, reporting and continuous improvement, providing the opportunity to influence meaningful organisational outcomes while contributing to a respectful, equitable and welcoming workplace for staff, students and the broader community.
Selected Duties:
- Coordinate diversity and inclusion projects across the organisation.
- Deliver engaging awareness campaigns, events and communications.
- Monitor project outcomes and prepare reports and briefing materials.
- Support workplace adjustments and diversity-related initiatives.
- Research best practice to improve inclusion across NVITAFE.
- Build cooperative relationships that promote an inclusive workplace.
ABOUT YOU
Skills & Experience

- Qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Social Sciences, Community Development, Psychology or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Strong project coordination and organisational skills.
- Ability to analyse information, prepare reports and maintain accurate records.
- Experience engaging with diverse stakeholders and building productive relationships.
- Experience within education,
government or the public sector.
- Knowledge of contemporary diversity and inclusion frameworks, legislation and best practice.
- Experience supporting organisational culture, employee engagement or change initiatives.

Northern Victoria Institute of TAFE (NVITAFE) was established on 1 January 2026 following the amalgamation of GOTAFE and Wodonga TAFE, bringing the two organisations together under a single, unified governance and operating framework.
