About the Role

This position coordinates the allocation of emergency and planned relief for all teaching staff in the ELC and Junior School. This role is term time only, starting in August 2026.

This position involves early morning shifts, starting at 6:30am and finishing by 8:30am or 9:30am, depending on daily requirements. The role is approximately 3 hours per day. Due to the nature of the work, after-hours availability is required, so a flexible approach to scheduling is essential.

Responsibilities

- Receive all applications for ELC and Junior relief teaching and respond as necessary
- Interview and tour prospective relief Teachers and EA's
- Maintain a current relief list, ensuring licences and qualifications remain current
- Collaborate with the Executive Officer to ensure the onboarding process for both new and existing relief staff is thorough and compliant with all legal requirements
- Remain up to date on excursions, activities, and professional learning bookings, to enable booking of the relevant relief cover
- Allocate daily emergency and planned teacher relief
- Ensure the Leave Spreadsheet is completed daily
- Publish the daily relief sheet on the internal splash page
- Review and approve relief timesheets




- Liaise with Deputy Head of Primary about performance of relief staff

- Excellent organisational skills and a proven ability to coordinate and operate daily relief
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of autonomy and initiative in completing tasks and making effective decisions

Qualifications and Experience

- Current Working with Children Check
- Current National Police Clearance
- Recent use of SEQTA, Consent to Go, or Class Cover would be highly regarded
- Experience in the education sector, preferably in a similar role
