UBS is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead our domestic Insurance projects from our Head Office in Carrum Downs. We are specifically seeking a qualified trade, or a carpenter who holds a builder’s license and/or at minimum a Certificate IV in Building and Construction. These qualifications are vital to ensure strong technical and practical construction expertise.

About The Role

The Construction Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting, leading and mentoring our Project Management team. This includes guiding project standards, troubleshooting complex construction issues, and ensuring that building practices align with our quality and compliance requirements. Their expertise will be critical in enhancing project efficiency and maintaining high standards throughout the construction phases.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor, and develop the Project Management team, promoting a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Ensure compliance with WHS regulations, safety standards, and Australian Standards through regular site audits.




- Oversee and coordinate internal trade scheduling to optimise project delivery.
- Drive project outcomes, ensuring work meets quality standards, stays within budget, and is delivered on time.
- Act as the primary escalation point for complaints, providing effective resolutions and maintaining stakeholder satisfaction.
- Oversee the scheduling of internal trades to improve project schedules.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, trades, and industry partners.
- Manage project budgets, variations, and reporting, ensuring accurate and timely updates.

About You

- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in residential and/or insurance building.
- Certificate IV in Building and Construction (minimum).
- Builder’s Licence (highly advantageous).
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and support Project Managers.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Key Requirements

- Valid Driver Licence.
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Induction Card (Blue).
- Current Police Check.
