About the Role
We are looking for an access control security officer to manage high‑profile government sites in North Sydney and Woollahra. The role requires controlling site access, monitoring security risk situations, and maintaining documentation on an 8‑ to 12‑hour rotating roster.
Duties
- Organize security passes, visitor inductions, and conduct vehicle searches
- Provide high‑level customer service
- Respond to security risk situations and monitor individuals
- Maintain documentation – reports, records, logs of occurrences, and complete necessary paperwork
- Monitor CCTV and operate walk‑through scanners and x‑ray machines
- Use computer terminal to input and retrieve data
Skills & Qualifications
- Certificate II in Security Operations
- Valid NSW Security License
- First Aid Certificate
- Ability to work under pressure and remain focused on task
- Conflict resolution skills
- Patience and personable public interaction
- Professional presentation, punctuality, and professionalism
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Checkable background to obtain relevant clearances
