About the Chance
Mercy Hospital for Women is a major maternity hospital and specialist referral centre providing complex care for obstetric, neonatal and gynaecology patients.
As a valued member of our Antenatal and Postnatal inpatient wards, you will work alongside multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care to mothers, babies and families.
Summary of the Role
- Support Midwives and provide day‑to‑day patient management.
- Maintain a work‑life balance with a flexible rotating roster.
- Deliver high‑risk pregnancy and birth care in Victoria.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide holistic, patient‑centred care to mothers, babies and families.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Support midwives, including lactation consulting support, on shift.
- Maintain accurate, timely records and documentation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Registration as a Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Minimum Level 2 RANZCOG qualification or working toward it.
- Demonstrated credentialing for newborn discharge examinations or working toward it.
- Current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
- Proof of current influenza vaccination and other required vaccinations.
