Senior Disability Support Worker — Behaviour Support Experience Essential

Right Now Supports is a registered NDIS provider based in Melbourne’s North, delivering quality disability support across community access, daily living, and transport. We are founder-led, lean, and growing built on strong compliance, clear systems, and a genuine commitment to participants and our team.

We’re not a big agency. We don’t treat our workers as numbers. We pay above-market rates, support growth opportunities, and back our team with structure and respect.

The Role

We’re hiring senior disability support workers to join our growing team on ongoing weekly shifts. Shift availability includes weekday daytime, evenings, Saturdays, and potential overnight or sleepover work depending on participant needs and your availability.

We’ll discuss exact roster fit and availability at interview stage.

Day-to-day, you will:

- Provide personal care, community access, and daily living support
- Implement Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) where applicable
- Support participants with autism, intellectual disability, and behaviours of concern
- Communicate with non-verbal participants using PECS, whiteboards, devices, and other AAC methods
- Document shifts in ShiftCare in real-time
- Report incidents promptly and accurately
- Work collaboratively with the broader team, support coordinators,

and allied health professionals
- Maintain dignity, respect, and privacy at all times

Who We’re Looking For

This role is for experienced, mature workers not entry-level or general casual workers. To be considered, you must have:

- 3–4 years minimum frontline disability support experience
- Demonstrated experience working with behaviours of concern, including verbal and physical responses
- Experience supporting non-verbal participants
- Calm, patient, and confident under pressure
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Excellent documentation and incident reporting habits
- Reliable, punctual, and consistent

Required Documentation (must be current):

- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Valid Australian work rights

Nice to Have (highly regarded):

- Module 1 (High Intensity Supports) training
- Cert IV in Disability or related qualifications

What We Offer

- Above-award casual rates (discussed at interview)
- Km reimbursement at ATO rate
- Pay every fortnight, on time, every time
- Consistent weekly shifts — not random fill-in work
- Direct line to the founder — no middle management layers
- Real career progression — Team Leader pathway for top performers
- Ongoing training and development support
- A team culture built on respect, partnership, and quality
