Join Our Team of Support Workers at Simply Helping Inner South East!
Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others? We are seeking dedicated and compassionate support workers to join our team. As a support worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in the comfort of their own homes.
Travel Requirement
Support workers will be required to travel across a broad service area covering Melbourne’s inner south-east. This includes (but is not limited to) Armadale, Ashburton, Ashwood, Balaclava, Carnegie, Caulfield and surrounding areas (Caulfield East, North, South and Junction), Chadstone, Clayton and Clayton South, Clarinda, Elsternwick, Gardenvale, Glen Huntly, Glen Waverly, Hughesdale, Huntingdale, Lysterfield, Malvern and Malvern East, Mount Waverley, Murrumbeena, Notting Hill, Rowville, Oakleigh and surrounding areas (Oakleigh East and South), Prahran, Ripponlea, South Yarra, Springvale, St Kilda East, Toorak, Wheelers Hill, Windsor, and neighbouring suburbs including Noble Park, Mulgrave, and Waverley Gardens.
Applicants should be comfortable travelling between these locations, with services delivered in clients’ homes across these communities. A current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle are highly desirable to support flexible, responsive service delivery. Fluent in Greek is an advantage.
Immediate start is available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalised care and assistance tailored to the unique needs of each Service User.
- Support individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, community access, including transport and assistance with shopping.
- Domestic Assistance, including vacuuming, mopping and dusting.
- Foster a warm and trusting environment that promotes independence and dignity.
What you bring
- Certificate III Home and Community Care or equivalentis high advantage.
- Previous experience in home care or a related field is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Empathy and compassion for individuals with varying needs.
- Trustworthy and reliable with a vehicle
