School Psychologist – Pitt Town Public School

Location: Pitt Town, Sydney Region – North/North West

Position: Full‑time 1.0 FTE (School Support Staff)

Remuneration: Package valued up to $182,461 plus incentives (where applicable). Base salary ranges from $101,122 to $160,983, with additional leave loading and employer superannuation.

Key Accountabilities

- Provide counselling and psychological services to students, individually and in groups, including short‑term therapeutic interventions within the scope of training, experience, and supervision.
- Implement the procedures of the Professional Practice Framework for the NSW School Counselling Service.
- Collaborate with the principal, school executive, staff, and student support services to improve learning and wellbeing outcomes and implement departmental priorities.
- Contribute to the social, emotional, and academic development of students and support schools with complex behavioural needs.
- Administer cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioural assessments, report outcomes, and collaborate to enhance learning, wellbeing, and mental health.
- Work with learning and support teams, parents, carers, and agencies to develop appropriate school‑based support.
- Respond with the team to assist schools experiencing serious incidents.
- Refer students and/or their families to external agencies that support student health and wellbeing.

Essential Requirements

- Knowledge of and commitment to the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy,



the Partnership Agreement with NSW AECG Inc., and the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategy.
- General or Provisional Psychology Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Valid and current Working with Children Check clearance (WWCC) – NSW.
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel between work sites.
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
